My collection isn't much compared to what it used to be, though. This was a solid week of collecting, sure, but it actually, probably, makes up a bulk of what I own for toys and video games.

Not VHS or DVDs/Blu-rays, though. I own -way- more than should be allowed, considering how slowly I'm making my way through watching it all. the Trash Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14102451795524437819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1933667965651690643.post-80739813092581963092013-07-26T23:45:29.734-07:002013-07-26T23:45:29.734-07:00Stop! I still have the soundtrack that was a giveaway in a magazine or something. It is so awesomely bad. I listen to it every now and then. Really cool stuff though. Street Trash looks like an interesting movie.

You must also own a Bull Alien. It livens up any collection. I hope you are doing well!

Michael Lynn P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03371185397200027726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1933667965651690643.post-18285257233430409212013-07-22T20:47:52.299-07:002013-07-22T20:47:52.299-07:00The Alien novelization is yours if you want it, no...The Alien novelization is yours if you want it, no trade necessary. I already had a copy I bought last year, but couldn't fathom passing up on another for so cheap. I definitely don't need two copies taking up space, so it's all yours.

And I appreciate the offer on VHS, but my collecting is sorta' sporadic and weird. I buy tapes constantly, but they're usually on a whim, if something catches my eye. I'm a odd collector in that I don't try and complete a set or hunt for specific pieces. Of course, with VHS, there are probably, literally, hundreds of films I'd want to add. Anything 80s and early 90s action/horror/cult. Oh, and Dr. Who tapes and 80s cartoons and old wrestling tapes and really, honestly, everything. the Trash Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14102451795524437819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1933667965651690643.post-38049653348517040242013-07-22T20:41:27.354-07:002013-07-22T20:41:27.354-07:00I remember kids, friends of mine, actually, that w...I remember kids, friends of mine, actually, that were still bringing in their new toys [usually Power Rangers stuff] to school in the 6th grade and it was devastating the shit they took from our classmates. I don't think there's been a time where I wasn't interested in collecting, but there have definitely been periods where I didn't buy anything or actively put a collection together.

Also, the "generation gap" I see sometimes with the collecting community is pretty apparent when I compare my own interests to those whose blogs I follow. Stuff like Mego or the Micronauts and sometimes even the classic Star Wars toys have never appealed to me, but it's just because I never grew up with it. My interest in toys and cartoons, the formative years for me, were the late 80s/early 90s. the Trash Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14102451795524437819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1933667965651690643.post-28617880492990783082013-07-22T07:44:19.319-07:002013-07-22T07:44:19.319-07:00It's always fun for me to see what people youn...It's always fun for me to see what people younger than me pick up when it comes to childhood nostalgia. Also, I was never smart enough to figure out there was an age where collecting figures was a "bad" thing. I've been meaning to go over there and order some stuff, but I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Looks like you're action figure proclivities are/were very similar to mine.

Are there any specific VHS releases you are looking for? My Goodwill had a TON of really great titles that I considered buying in the past just for the cover art... but I decided my hoarding mentality has to be halted somewhere (I'm still working on the boundaries actually... as I draw pretty arbitrary lines in the sand all over the place, with huge gaps in between...) but I'd be happy to look for anything you've been seeking.
